The popularity of March Madness is deeply rooted in the thrill of seeing an underdog upend a superior opponent. Every year some highly touted tournament team gets awarded a 5 seed only to get cut down by a 12 seed. It gives one great pleasure to see the lesser opponent beat the big bad guy. DePaul always seems to play the role of the underdog in the BIG EAST, shocking the entire conference in the 2014-15 season by winning their first three conference games and, for a fleeting moment, sitting atop the conference. Eventually, DePaul finally came back down to earth and lost their last 7 games.'

Creighton comes into this game with Kris Dunn making a buzzer beater jumper etched into the back of their mind. Last year, the Bluejays would've been more than happy losing to Providence by 2 points. This year, Creighton bolsters a lineup that can absolutely destroy an opponent, and I believe they've got a bad taste in their mouth after that rock fight against the Friars. Expect big things out of Mo Watson, Geoffrey Groselle, and Cole Huff (he's due, damnit) in this matchup against the Blue Demons.

Meanwhile, DePaul is coming into this game after getting destroyed by Abell and co., against Xavier. Billy Garrett Jr., is the one bright spot for the Blue Demons, but unfortunately he cannot carry the team by his lonesome. Between Myke Henry and Garrett Jr., DePaul doesn't feature enough offensive pop to keep pace with the Bluejays and most certainly do not have the defense to keep the scoring barrage at a minimum.
