2016 four-star point guard Tony Carr has cut his list to five from 11, and the Providence Friars have made the cut.
Carr told Josh Verlin late Friday night about the cut, in addition to Providence, the Philadelphia native included Southern Methodist, Temple, Maryland, and Penn State on his list.
When asked by Verlin why Providence was included, Carr said the following, "I have a good relationship with their coach. He's straight with me and I like his vision and he lets his point guards play., so I feel like I could be very successful at Providence".
Carr's next step, as he tells Verlin, is setting official visits before deciding "most likely" in late August or early September.
