Villanova recruiting news: Wildcats no longer pursuing Rawle Alkins, per SNY

SNY's ace college hoops reporter has another scoop on Wednesday night with the report this time centering in on the Villanova Wildcats.

According to Zagoria, the 'Cats are no longer pursuing 2016 five-star shooting guard Rawle Alkins of Middle Village, New York.

Alkins, the top recruit in the state of New York, is being heavily pursued by some of college basketball's most notable blue bloods. Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana and others are in the running for his services. Interestingly enough, Villanova stands at No. 2 in the Crystal Ball Predictions on 247Sports.com.

'Nova has already landed highly touted hooper Omari Spellman from the 2016 class.
