Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Charlotte 49ers transfer Keyshawn Woods has chosen Wake Forest has his next destination.

The Conference USA 3-point field goal percentage leader in 2014-15 is going 79 miles north to play with the Demon Deacons of the Atlantic Coast Conference, picking them over the Butler Bulldogs and Creighton Bluejays of the Big East Conference who also had served as suitors for his services.

The news comes from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Woods had planned to visit Wake Forest today back on Sunday and had visits scheduled with Butler and Creighton in the near future.

Evidently, Danny Manning must have wowed the Gastonia, North Carolina native big time.

Best of luck to Woods in the rest of his collegiate career.
