Chris Obekpa returning to St. John's

Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports St. John's Red Storm center Chris Obekpa is returning to the team for the 2015-16 season.

Rampant speculation about the big man's status has been running ever since the conclusion of the Red Storm's season, but it appears that the Nigerian will be back in Jamaica, Queens to play for new head coach Chris Mullin.

Now attention turns to see whether or not Red Storm guard Rysheed Jordan will be staying with the program, as he, like Obekpa, has had his status under question since the conclusion of St. John's campaign.
