In what has seemed to be the theme of the offseason, a Big East team is interested in a player transferring from another university. This time, It is Chris Mullin and the St. John's Red Storm with interest in Alabama transfer Ricky Tarrant, a junior guard. ESPN's Jeff Goodman originally reported the interest, and the New York Post's Zach Braziller confirmed it Tuesday night.

Tarrant averaged 13.1 points per game for Alabama last year before a season ending injury. He previously transferred to Alabama from Tulane and has already sat out a year from that transfer, so he will be immediately eligible wherever he signs.
Memphis and Clemson are also interested in Tarrent, per Goodman. He has set visits with those two schools already.
