Creighton to host former Kansas State Wildcat Marcus Foster

The Bluejays' rumored interest in the former Wildcat is legit, as they'll be hosting Marcus Foster this weekend.

The Omaha-World Herald reported on Sunday that the Creighton Bluejays may have interest in former Kansas State Wildcats guard Marcus Foster as well as former Iowa State Cyclones guard Clayton Custer. On Monday afternoon, that news got a few more legs attached to it.

Foster, 19, was dismissed from Kansas State's basketball team in late March as he and head coach Bruce Weber had a rocky, tumultuous relationship throughout Foster's stay in The Little Apple, Manhattan, Kansas.

There's little doubt that Foster brings lots of talent and athleticism to the table. The rising junior from Wichita Falls, Texas averaged 12.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in the 2014-15 season. This comes after a superb freshman campaign in which Foster averaged 15.5 points and 3.2 rebounds, coinciding with a 42.3 percent mark from the field.

What comes after that is anyone's guess. Nonetheless, the word on the street is that it's likely between Creighton and the LSU Tigers for Foster. We'll see how this develops, but it goes without saying that Foster, from a talent standpoint, would be a tremendous addition to the Jays.
