Providence Friars point guard Kris Dunn was named a CBS Sports All-American on Tuesday afternoon.
Dunn joins Wichita State Shockers guard Fred VanVleet, Murray State Racers guard Cameron Payne, Arizona Wildcats wing Stanley Johnson and Northern Iowa Panthers forward and Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year Seth Tuttle on the 3rd team, selected by a pool of writers including Gary Parrish, Matt Norlander, Sam Vecenie, Chip Patterson and Jon Rothstein.
Dunn averaged 15.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game in his sophomore year with a field goal percentage of 47.4 percent, and helped bring the Friars to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament.
