(19) Butler vs. Creighton: Halftime Notes

The Bluejays hold a 29-25 halftime lead at home against the Bulldogs

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

- This had the feel of a trap game for Butler after going down to the wire with Villanova over the weekend, and Creighton's certainly making things difficult for them. The Bulldogs look sloppy, with slow rotations on defense, ugly shot attempts and a dumb foul from Kelan Martin right before the half.

- Those aforementioned slow rotations opened up some clean looks behind the three-point line for the Bluejays, who hit five threes in the first half. Three of those came from Austin Chatman, who has 13 points at the break.

- Butler head coach Chris Holtmann went with freshman Tyler Wideman in the starting lineup with Andrew Chrabascz set to miss a few weeks with a hand injury.

- Devin Brooks gave Creighton a nice boost off the bench in the first half, knocking both of his attempts from three for six points and three assists.
