To this point on your Monday night, you've probably already seen Seton Hall Pirates guard Sterling Gibbs' vicious, blatant elbow to Villanova Wildcats guard Ryan Arcidiacono's head. About an hour after the 'Cats and Pirates finished their matchup at The Pavilion, the former Texas Longhorns transfer has spoken.
Gibbs offered an apology to the media, per Jerry Carino, and had this to say on his Twitter account.
Man that's not who I am. I'm sorry to my family, friends, fans, and team for being an embarrassment. Even more sorry to @RyArch15 .. I let

Whether we are to believe Gibbs or not on the sincerity of his apology is up to his peers and peers alone.
It does seem abundantly clear though that, unlike others, he may at the very least be showing signs of humility.
