What's at stake?

Xavier is fighting for a tournament bid. Last season, they were among the last four teams to receive an at-large bid and they appear to be on a similar track once again. Marquette is coming off a big road win versus Seton Hall, which helped end a six game losing streak. The Golden Eagles are still working on a three game home losing streak. Xavier needs this win to not only keep its tournament hopes alive, but possibly give the Musketeers a first round bye in the Big East Tournament.
