Niagara vs. St. John's halftime notes

It's been somewhat sluggish in Queens so far.

~ After one half of play, the St. John's Red Storm lead the Niagara Purple Eagles 27-20. The Red Storm and Purple Eagles combined for 15 fouls in the first half, one that was somewhat sluggish throughout.

~ Yankuba Sima and Felix Balamou combined for 12 points, six apiece in the first 20 minutes. Balamou has been the most productive any Red Storm player, grabbing four rebounds and dishing out four assists. Sima grabbed two boards of his own.

~ Amar Alibegovic led the team with five first half rebounds. Christian Jones and Ron Mvouika added three and four respectively.

~ Niagara's Emile Blackman led the Purple Eagles in scoring with seven points. Matt Scott added eight rebounds and two assists, both of which lead his team in those respective categories.

~ Both teams shot under 35 percent in the first half and combined to make just four 3-pointers on 20 attempts.

~ The Red Storm trail in the rebounding department 22-21, with the difference being one (1) offensive rebound.
