~ Xavier leads Wright State 49-21 at halftime as the Musketeers seek their first 9-0 start since the 2008-09 campaign.

~ Trevon Bluiett's red-hot play has continued on Tuesday night. The Indianapolis native has scored 10 points through the first 20 minutes, a team-high that was matched by fellow guard J.P. Macura. Bluiett shot 3-for-5 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free throw line. He also grabbed eight boards, five of which came on the defensive side of the glass.

~ Neither team shot particularly well through the first half. Sluggish, slow-moving play was much of the story in the first part of the half, as both teams started 0-for-12 from the 3-point line at one point. Xavier picked things up though, going on a 25-0 run to pull away from their adversary from Dayton, Ohio.

~ Xavier got to the foul line a staggering 22 times in the first half while Wright State managed just four free throw attempts. X made the most of it, converting on 18 opportunities (81.8 FT%).

~ X committed just four turnovers to Wright State's seven.

~ The Musketeers' rebounding domination has also continued. They grabbed 35 (!) in the first half, 20 defensive and 15 offensive.
