Four BIG EAST teams featured in AP Top 25

'Nova, Xavier, Providence and Butler are in the mix.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Four BIG EAST teams are represented in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Villanova Wildcats are the highest-ranked BIG EAST team again, checking in at No. 9, dropping one spot despite winning their lone matchup of the week against the St. Joseph's Hawks.

Xavier checks in at No. 12 after winning their only matchup of the week against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. X was No. 12 last week, so they remained stagnant to this point.

Providence and Butler made big leaps into the polls, meanwhile. The Friars hopped up eight spots to No. 15 after winning against Hartford and Rhode Island. The Bulldogs jumped up 10 spots from No. 28, out of the polls, to No. 18 this week.

Full poll can be found below.
