Seton Hall pushed their record up to 6-2 in 2015 with their 84-55 victory in the Garden State Hardwood Classic over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Rutgers shot themselves out of the game going 20-for-60 from the field and 5-for-19 from the 3-point line. Seton Hall didn't fare much better from the perimeter, shooting 7-for-17, struggling as they have for much of the season, but took care of business inside to up their field goal percentage to 47.0 percent from the floor.
Leading the Pirates to the win was Khadeen Carrington who scored 18 points off the bench. Carrington was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line and shot 6-for-13 from the field. Meanwhile, Mike Nzei, Isaiah Whitehead and Angel Delgado combined to score 40 of Seton Hall's 84 points.
The Pirates obliterated Rutgers on the boards, winning the rebounding battle 53-32. Seton Hall also led in offensive and defensive rebounds to the tune of 18-9 and 35-23 respectively. SHU came away with leads in 2nd chance points (15-6), bench points (34-12), and points in the paint (44-20).
