Here are some notes from the first half of St. John's & Creighton!

-Geoffrey Groselle is still fooling people utilizing his left hand. He's left handed y'know.

- Cole Huff has come ready to play, starting the half out hot.

- St. John's has a bad offense predicated on making an extra pass to a Bluejay player.

- Durand Johnson is the only player who seems to give a doodle for the Johnnies, scoring 7 of SJU's first 9.

- This appears to be a game of capitalizing on the opponent's mistakes, with Creighton capitalizing on poor shot selection for St. John's while the Johnnies gain ground toying with the Bluejay bench.

- Ellison is going to be really quite good for St. John's going forward. A fun player to watch.

- Geoffrey Groselle is earning a ton of hustle points today.

- There are a lot of fundamental miscues in this game. Travels, lane violations, you name it and it has probably happened in this game.

- Creighton's offense slowed as the first half wore on while St. John's struggled to put together a run. Low scoring, turtle pace in this one - not ideal for the so called 'casual fan.'

- Groselle was the best player of the half. There, I said it.
