IUPUI vs. Butler: Halftime Notes

At the end of the first half, Butler leads by a score of 43-24

Tonight is the last nonconference game of the season for Butler, as they play host to the IUPUI Jaguars. Here is what took place in the first half.

Butler

  • Kelan Martin leads the Bulldogs so far with a game-leading 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting.  Andrew Chrabascz and Roosevelt Jones have also been active, with Chrabascz finishing the half with nine points and Jones with eight points. Chrabascz also has a game leading five rebounds so far.
  • Despite having six points, Kellen Dunham has been fairly quiet tonight ending the half with only 1-of 5 shooting. He has been active from the foul line though going 4-of-4 so far.
  • As a team, the Bulldogs have shot 50% from all areas of the floor, 43% from three point range, and 89% from the foul line.
  • Butler was cold from three point range until the final five minutes of the first half as Jordan Gathers and Kelan Martin both opened up for 9 points combined.
  • The Bulldogs only committed two turnovers over the course of the first half, and also scored 14 points off of the 10 turnovers committed by IUPUI.

IUPUI

  • The Jaguars' leading scorer in the first half was Darell Combs who has seven points on 3-of-9 shooting.
  • As a team, IUPUI has shot 36% from all areas of the floor, 38% from three point range, and 50% from the foul line so far tonight.
  • As already stated IUPUI has the ball over 10 times so far, with five of those turnovers coming off of Butler steals
  • IUPUI has not lead once in this game.
