A ginormous get for Mullin & Co. as the talented hooper from the Bronx is staying in New York.

JUCO prospect Bashir Ahmed has committed to St. John's University.

The move, first reported by Zach Braziller of the New York Post, gives St. John's its second member of the Class of 2016 as Ahmed joins four-star combo guard Shamorie Ponds (Brooklyn, NY).

Ahmed currently attends Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas. Per 247Sports, he is the top JUCO small forward in the country and the second-best JUCO prospect in the nation behind Arkansas commit Jaylen Barford, a 6-foot-5 combo guard attending Motlow State Community College in Tennessee.

St. John's now has two four-star prospects in their 2016 class, giving them a big edge in the recruiting game as the future's looking bright for Chris Mullin's bunch in Jamaica, Queens.
