The Seton Hall Pirates are taking it to former BIG EAST foe South Florida in Newark on this Tuesday evening. The Pirates lead 33-19, this coming after leading 14-0 back at the 12:45 mark in the first half.
The Pirates have gotten big contributions from sophomore Angel Delgado who has eight points and six rebounds at the break. Delgado is 4-for-6 from the field in 15 minutes of action but has a +/- of merely zero. Freshman Veer Singh has six points off the bench in 11 minutes, and has a 2-for-3 mark from the 3-point line. Khadeen Carrington has five points off the bench in 11 minutes and had two assists and a steal as well.
South Florida was skittish at the start of this game, not being able to buy a shot if their lives depended on it. They have since scored 19 points after being down 14-0, evened up with as many points as Seton Hall has scored since jumping out to that early lead.
The Hall hasn't been super potent in the first half, scoring just 1.031 points per possession. South Florida hasn't fared much better, scoring a dismal 0.594 points per possession. Both The Hall and USF had 32 possessions each.
Seton Hall leads in points in the paint 18-10, bench points 12-3, second chance points 7-6 and fast break points 4-0.
