Villanova freshman guard Donte DiVincenzo will miss the next four to six weeks with a fracture in his right foot, according to a press release from Villanova.
DiVincenzo has been used sparingly this season, only averaging 9.3 minutes per game, but he had appeared in each of Villanova's first eight contests.
Head coach Jay Wright had the following to say about the injury,
"We’re disappointed for Donte," stated Villanova head coach Jay Wright. "He has made such great progress as a freshman and we were counting on him to make a big contribution. Donte will work hard to get back and I know he will be better because of this."
DiVincenzo becomes the second Villanova freshman to miss time with an injury this season. Forward Tim Delaney suffered a hip injury prior to the season from which he is still recovering.
