Bad news for a baby Bluejay.

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

Creighton Bluejays freshman forward Martin Krampelj's season is over.

First reported by the Omaha World-Herald, the youngster from Slovenia suffered a knee injury during a recent practice. The prognosis for Krampelj was not good, as he would learn that his season is done and he will have to sit on the sidelines as Creighton's third season in the BIG EAST Conference wages on.

Per the World-Herald, Krampelj tore his ACL and his meniscus was damaged as well in his right knee. The 6-foot-9, 205-pounder from Grosuplje, Slovenia had not played in three of Creighton's last four games, and was averaging 2.9 points and 3.6 rebounds on the year.
