~ The Villanova Wildcats are making good use out of their short-term memory. Following a drubbing at the hands of the Oklahoma Sooners last Monday, 'Nova is in the process of a take down of the La Salle Explorers. At the half, the 'Cats lead by the score of 38-23.

~ The Wildcats have been led by the play of Josh Hart, which is something that's often been repeated this season. Hart has 13 points in the first half and shot a crisp 5-for-8 from the field and 2-for-3 from the perimeter.

~ On the whole, 'Nova is shooting 5-for-12 from deep. Ryan Arcidiacono put them at 5-for-11 before a long heave at the end of the half by one Daniel Ochefu.

~ 'Nova has beasted on the boards, owning in the rebounding margin 16-11 and 12-6 on the defensive side.

~ Surprisingly (?), Villanova is ahead in the turnover department 8-7 as La Salle has been the club to take better care of the basketball through the first half.

~ Leading the Explorers in scoring is junior guard Jordan Price. The 6-foot-5 guard from Decatur, Georgia scored seven points in the first half of play.
