The month of December looms, and two Big East teams will enter the month unbeaten.
The Villanova Wildcats have been as good as advertised, steamrolling through their competition with relative ease. Jalen Brunson has been terrific in his first seven games as a Wildcat, as has the improving Josh Hart who has made an early leap from being a great sixth man to a terrific starter for Jay Wright's club.
The Xavier Musketeers meanwhile have been equally impressive, if not more. Their star cast of Trevon Bluiett and Jalen Reynolds alongside James Farr, Edmond Sumner and Myles Davis have been dominating the competition. Wins against Michigan, USC, and in-state rival Dayton headline their 7-0 record so far and in those three contests, the results weren't even close.
So, we ask you, our BECB community: Which of these two teams will go longer as a member of the unbeatens in college basketball? For a healthy reminder, here's how their schedules shake out in the next few games:
