Kris Dunn wins the first Big East Coast Bias Player of the Week award

The first edition of the BECB Player of the Week award has been won by Providence's superstar point guard.

Providence Friars guard Kris Dunn is the first recipient of the Big East Coast Bias Player of the Week award.

Votes were made by the staff of Big East Coast Bias, and after tabulating the results, it's the New London, Connecticut native who has taken home the hardware.

The Friars guard had a spectacular weekend in Southern California in the 2015 Wooden Legacy event. The reigning co-BIG EAST Player of the Week averaged 19.3 points, 6.7 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals during the course of the event where the Friars finished as the runner-up to the Michigan State Spartans.

Dunn received six votes as Player of the Week amongst a loaded field of choices. Others receiving votes included his teammate Ben Bentil as well as Creighton center Geoffrey Groselle. Voting breakdown can be seen below:
