Team 1st Half Score Leading Scorer
Michigan State 34 Forbes: 13
Providence 32 Bentil: 13

  • Kris Dunn was pressing early and trying to do too much. He has a season-high 4 turnovers in the first half. Dunn finished the first half with 9 points (4/10 FG), 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
  • Denzel Valentine picked up his second foul fairly early in the game and has to sit for long stretches. Tom Izzo kept him on the bench until Providence started to get a bit of a lead. Valentine played well when he was in the game but has just 6 points on two made 3-pointers.
  • Ben Bentil is leading the way for the Friars again but he is doing it in a much more efficient manner in this game. Bentil led Providence with 13 points on 6/9 shooting. He also added 6 rebounds.
  • Bryn Forbes led Michigan State with 13 points with 9 of them coming from beyond the arc.
  • Providence had an uncharacteristic 10 first half turnovers. The Friars are outrebounding the Spartans, 19-13, after getting annihilated on the glass by Arizona.
  • Michigan State is +10 in points off turnovers, an area that Providence has been on the positive side this season.
