- Coming into the game as 29-point favorites, the Butler Bulldogs have started off with an uncharacteristically sloppy half of basketball today against visiting SIU-Edwardsville. The Bulldogs finished the first half with seven turnovers and 13 fouls, with five players having to sit or play extended stretches with two fouls.
- However, the Bulldogs have dominated behind the three-point line, shooting 50 percent (4-of-8) from behind the arc on the night. Not surprisingly, it's been all Kellen Dunham leading the charge, connecting on three of his four attempts from deep, adding to his 19-point total for the night.
- In true fashion, Roosevelt Jones has been helping all across the stat sheet tonight, with five points, three rebounds and four assists. Offensively, the team has been remarkably efficient, they'll just need to take better care of the ball in the second half.
- Grant Fiorentinos has been a force all night for SIUE so far, finishing the half with 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting and five rebounds.
