3 things to watch

1. Starting fast in the 2010s: The Jays have done well for themselves this decade at the start of the season. In each year dating back to the 2010-11 season, Creighton has started 4-1 or 5-0. They are seeking a 4-1 start again this time around, this after an 85-75 victory over Rutgers on Monday evening in Vegas. If they fall to 3-2, it will be the first time since the 2009-10 season that the Jays failed to net a 4-1 or 5-0 start, and the first time since the 2008-09 season that they started at 3-2.

2. Can I get an En-Cole?: (Dear God that was bad. Turn around if you must) Cole Huff showed out well in familiar territory on Monday night against the Scarlet Knights. The former Nevada Wolfpack forward scored 26 points grabbed seven rebounds and shot 6-for-10 on his 2-point field goal attempts. The Scarlet Knights had no answer for the Altadena, California native who has been monstrously efficient this year through the first four games of the season. UMass will likely have their hands full defending the 6-foot-8 junior forward who could earn MVP honors of the event if he performs at a high-caliber level again.

3. 3-for-3 on Coach Mac's Birthday: It's November 25, so that means it's Bluejays head coach Greg McDermott's birthday! The Jays have been successful in the two occurrences prior to Wednesday night on their head coach's birthday, winning both contests against Campbell in 2011, and Eastern Illinois in 2014. They will look to continue to bat 1.000 on their head coach's birthday against the Minutemen and, should that happen, it will be a very happy birthday for the head man in Omaha.
