3-Point Preview
1. Will DePaul bounce back?
The Blue Demons took a tough loss in the opening round of the Paradise Jam against South Carolina. In that game, DePaul couldn't seem to get anything going offensively.
Florida State is one of the best teams the Blue Demons will face all year, so a victory, or even a strong showing, today could really go a long way in building some confidence for this team.
2. Will the Seminoles come out looking for revenge?
As stated above, Florida State's likely the best team DePaul will play out of conference this season.
So, what are the Seminoles doing in the consolation bracket of the Paradise Jam?
The Seminoles dropped their opening game to Hofstra by a score of 82-77. In that game, Malik Beasley had 25 points for the 'Noles, but Xavier Rathan-Mayes and Dwayne Bacon only combined for 19.
If the Seminoles come out and play angry, DePaul might struggle a bit.
3. History favors DePaul?
DePaul and Florida State have played five times throughout their histories, and DePaul holds a 3-2 all-time series lead.
The last time these teams faced off was in the 2000 Great Alaska Shootout. DePaul won that game 80-74.
DePaul head coach Dave Leitao is 1-5 all-time against Florida State, though.
