~ The Xavier Musketeers lead the Michigan Wolverines at Crisler Center 45-36 at the end of the first half thanks to contributions from Remy Abell and Jalen Reynolds. Abell and Reynolds have combined to score 23 of X's 45 points in the first 20 minutes with Abell posting a field goal percentage of 75.0 percent on his four field goal attempts. Reynolds has shot 3-for-7, but is 7-for-9 from the free throw line and has also grabbed five rebounds and blocked a shot in 14 minutes of action.

~ The Musketeers have been pretty potent, scoring 1.324 points per possession, 34 of them coming in the first half. Michigan, meanwhile, has been held in check, netting only 1.059 points per possession, also 34 of them in the first 20 minutes of the game.

~ The standout so far for the Wolverines has been none other than Caris LeVert. The talented guard has scored a game-high 16 points and is 5-for-9 from the field, 2-for-3 from the 3-point line and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. LeVert also added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals to his efforts in the 18 minutes he played.

~Leading in turnover% in the first half is X who only has committed a turnover on 5.9 percent of their 34 possessions. Michigan, meanwhile, has not been able to take care of the basketball by contrast with a rate of 17.6 percent. That's a solid rate though if nothing else, and both teams are not making too many critical mistakes thus far at the Crisler Center.

~ X has capitalized big time though on those six turnovers, scoring nine points off them.

~ The Musketeers are winning in the rebounding margin 17-16, points in the paint 16-10, fast break points 4-0, but find themselves behind in bench points 13-9 and second chance points 4-3.
