ETSU vs. Villanova, 2015 NIT Preseason Tip-Off: Halftime Notes

Here's the lowdown on the first 20 minutes from The Pavilion.

~ So, 'Nova is 'Nova again, going on a 25-0 run at one point during the first half after a 22-0 run sparked a win over Nebraska earlier in the week. The Wildcats have built up a 49-27 lead at the end of the first half over ETSU.

~ As one might expect, it's been a balanced attack for the Wildcats. Daniel Ochefu and Josh Hart have 10 points each and neither has missed a shot from the field on eight total field goal attempts. Guards Mikal Bridges and Phil Booth each have six points off the bench, while Kris Jenkins has seven. Freshman Donte DiVincenzo has five points of his own.

~ Highly touted point guard Jalen Brunson has attributed in a multitude of ways. The Illinois native has three points, a rebound, three assists and two steals with no turnovers at the end of the first half.

~ ETSU has been held to 29.6 percent from the field, 25 percent from the 3-point line, and has converted on 72.7 percent of their free throws, the hallmark of this performance so far.

~ The Wildcats lead in the rebounding department 22-19, turnovers 6-13, steals 6-5 and assists 10-4.
