3-Point Preview

1. Will 'Nova continue to dominate?

Over the past two games, Villanova has been in the driver's seat most of the time. Sure, there was a brief moment of panic against Nebraska when the Wildcats trailed early, but a 22-0 run squashed those fears. The Wildcats are firing on all cylinders this year, with five players averaging double-digit scoring, and Phil Booth right there at 9.0 PPG. This may be Jay Wright's deepest team in quite some time.

They also don't lose in The Pavillon.

2. Trap game?

Probably not. But don't take ETSU lightly. They won their Tip-Off Marathon game the other day at 6 AM by a score of 103-90.

Yeah, they scored 103 points before most of us even woke up.

ETSU was led by guard Ge'Lawn Guyn's 26 points. Guyn, a Cincinnati transfer is ETSU's leading scorer this year at 22.5 PPG, and was one of first year head coach Steve Forbes' big offseason additions.

Speaking of PPG, the Bucs are 4th in the nation currently as a team, averaging 105.

3. Three-point streak

Something I learned looking at ETSU's game notes: They have a streak of games in which they've made at least one three-pointer dating back to 1987.

It would be pretty rude of Villanova to send the Bucs back to Jackson, Tennessee with a loss and their streak being snapped.
