~ It's been the Tyler Lewis show, presented live in technicolor. The NC State transfer has been dishing out assist after assist, making it look easy through the first 20 minutes. Lewis has six assists on the afternoon so far, with 12 total on the day for the 'Dawgs on 17 field goals. Lewis also has scored seven and grabbed three rebounds while shooting a robust 50 percent on four field goal attempts.
~ The other highlight for the 'Dawgs today has been the play of big man Andrew Chrabascz. Chrabascz has a game-high 12 points on four field goals, with a 2-for-3 mark from the free throw line. He's been very active on the offensive end of the ball against Missouri State's front line, a lot of that attributed to the beautiful passing by Tyler Lewis.
~ In total, eight Butler players have registered at least two points in the opening 20 minutes. Kellen Dunham has six, Roosevelt Jones has four, Kelan Martin has 10, Jordan Gathers has two, Jackson Davis has six and, finally, Austin Etherington has registered two as well.
~ Missouri State is scoring at a rate of 0.735 points per possession. Comparatively, Butler is netting points at a rate of 1.485 per possession. The 'Dawgs also kept good care of the basketball, committing turnovers at a rate of just 6.1 percent. The Bears, meanwhile, are at 26.5 percent in the category.
