The Stakes

The Xavier Musketeers are looking to move to 2-0 after surviving somewhat of a scare against in-state rival Miami on Friday night. The last time that Xavier didn't go 2-0 to start a season was in the 2007-08 campaign - a year they went to the Elite Eight - when those aforementioned RedHawks bit them 59-57 on the road.

Mizzou, meanwhile, after taking care of business against Wofford and Maryland-Eastern Shore is searching for a fast 3-0 start to their campaign. Prior to last year, they had gotten off to 3-0 starts for five consecutive seasons. And prior to last year, the last time that Mizzou didn't start off 3-0 was... in the 2008-09 season when the Xavier Musketeers defeated them in Puerto Rico.
