Wagner vs. Seton Hall halftime notes

Here's what's gone down in the first 20 minutes.

Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

~ Isaiah Whitehead hasn't been deterred by the early start time. The sophomore guard has a game-high 13 points complemented with three assists, also a game high. The Brooklyn native has shot well too, going 4-for-7 from the field, 2-for-5 from the 3-point line, and 3-for-3 at the free throw line.

~ Seton Hall has been balanced otherwise with five other Pirates nabbing at least two points in the half. Desi Rodriguez has 12, Khadeen Carrington has seven, Angel Delgado has five, Derrick Gordon has three and lastly, Ismael Sanogo picked up two.

~ Speaking of Sanogo, he's got a game-high seven rebounds. No other player has more than four on both sides.

~ The Hall has been pretty stout defensively, holding Wagner to a mark of just 34.5 percent from the field. The Seahawks have not been able to get to the line often, getting just five free throw attempts in the first half. From beyond the arc, Wagner is shooting a meager 30 percent on 10 attempts.

~ For comparative's sake, Seton Hall has been strong offensively. They picked up a mark of 62.5 percent from the field, 77.8 percent from the free throw line, and 50 percent from the 3-point arc.
