2016 combo guard Davion Mintz has committed to Creighton University.
Mintz, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, will be heading to Omaha for college according to Phenom Hoop Report's Rick Lewis. The report would later be substantiated by Bluejay Banter, a Rivals.com network site. Subsequently, head coach Greg McDermott likely confirmed the news with some subtlety dashed in.
Davion also confirmed the news via his personal Twitter account:
I want to thank God & everyone involved with this process! Good luck to every player out there #GOBLUE pic.twitter.com/K6XOe4ibFf

Mintz's commitment takes place at the conclusion of his official visit to the school. On September 30, CU was among three schools that offered the 6-foot-4 Carolinian combo guard along with Tulsa and Kansas State.
Less than a week and a trip to Omaha later, the Bluejays have landed the North Mecklenburg High School student who is the first verbal commitment in the Class of 2016 for Greg McDermott.
