Craig Victor transferring to LSU

The Arizona transfer, whose services were sought after by Seton Hall, is transferring to LSU

Arizona Wildcats forward Craig Victor has decided to transfer to LSU.

Victor, a New Orleans, Louisiana native, was a 4-star recruit in the Class of 2014 and had enrolled this past November. Due to a stacked situation for the Wildcats this year, the 6-foot-8 power forward decided to part ways with the program and look for other options.

Two days ago, CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported that among the schools in contention for Victor's services, the Seton Hall Pirates were in the mix. Others included Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, San Diego State, and nearby LSU and Tulane. There was a slim chance that Victor's history with Seton Hall freshman Isaiah Whitehead -- the two played on the same team at the NBPA Top 100 Camp -- could have led to the power forward going from the west coast to the east coast.

It appears that Victor has decided to go near his home of New Orleans however. With LSU bringing in No. 1 recruit Ben Simmons next year, along with Antonio Blakeney, the Tigers look primed to have a strong showing in the Southeastern Conference in 2015 and beyond.
