- Butler surged out to an early lead, then seemed to pump the brakes a bit, having an eight minute stretch where they hit only one field goal. As a result, Seton Hall went on a 13-5 run to end the half.
- The Bulldogs also can't hit a free throw today. 4-13. This game would be a bit more opened up if they could hit a few shots from the stripe.
