Georgetown Hoyas guard D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera netted the Big East Player of Week after two terrific performances against the DePaul Blue Demons and Butler Bulldogs, per the Big East's website.
DSR had a 25-point outing in the Hoyas' 78-72 win over the Blue Demons last Tuesday and followed that up with a 14-point performance in their 61-59 win over the Bulldogs this past Saturday. Smith-Rivera averaged, in total, 19.5 points, 3.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 0.5 blocks in last week's games.
Seton Hall Pirates wing Khadeen Carrington, meanwhile, was named as the Big East's Rookie of the Week. The freshman had a 20-point performance in Seton Hall's lone matchup with Butler last Tuesday, and shot 6-for-11 from the field. Carrington was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line in the game, and added two rebounds, a steal and two assists.
