Butler vs. Georgetown: Halftime Notes

The Bulldogs remain road warriors as they lead Georgetown after a half in Washington DC.

Marc Lebryk-USA TODAY Sports

  • Butler was led offensively by, who else, Kellen Dunham. He has 13 points on 5-9 shooting. Roosevelt Jones also chipped in with 12 points of his own. Yes. Two players are responsible for 25 of Butler's 31 points.
  • Georgetown big man Joshua Smith is battling the flu, but it hasn't slowed him down: He has seven points and two rebounds, but also two fouls.
  • Georgetown is 1-7 from beyond the arc, and only shooting 30% overall. They are very fortunate to only be trailing by four points
  • Mikael Hopkins has been all over the place for the Hoyas: six points, five rebounds, and two blocks.
  • Georgetown's leading scorer the last time these teams faced off, Isaac Copeland, has zero points today. He does have four rebounds, however.
