Line of the Night

Gordon Hayward (Utah Jazz): 31 PTS (12-18 FG, 4-7 3PT), 7 AST, 3 REB, 1 STL, 1 BLK

Hayward continues to be one of the most under-appreciated players in basketball, which can happen when you play in Utah. But the Utes should be grateful the former Butler star is in Salt Lake City and not Charlotte, where he and the Hornets would no doubt be in playoff contention. Hayward destroyed a Kobe-less Lakers squad last night, erupting for 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting, and 7 assists. The Jazz are 9 games out of a playoff spot and will need a tremendous amount of help to get in this year, but behind Hayward, Trey Burke, Dante Exum and Derrick Favors, expect the Jazz to make some strides in the West late in the season.
