The DePaul Blue Demons and Villanova Wildcats are fighting for first place in the Big East Conference at The Pavilion. Here's your summary after the first 20 minutes of action:
Well, DePaul. We should've seen this coming. Vegas is rarely in the business of losing, and with the ridiculous spread intact, it appears that everyone's preconceived notions about this game are, in fact, correct. The Wildcats lead by 21 at the end of the first 20 minute period.
'Nova is shooting lights out from the field. After one half of play, they have posted a mark of 62.1 percent from the field, with a 58.3 percent performance from the 3-point line. The only area where DePaul currently leads is at the free throw line as they've made all four of their opportunities from the stripe, while 'Nova has gone just 2-for-5.
The Wildcats have done so with great balance. Ryan Arcidiacono leads with 11, but Darrun Hilliard and JayVaughn Pinkston aren't too far behind with 10 and eight points respectively. All the 'Cats that have taken the floor, aside from Dylan Ennis, have gotten on the board thus far.
DePaul is struggling to say the least, but currently lead in rebounds 13-12. Billy Garrett Jr. currently has seven points, which leads all Blue Demon scorers.
Perhaps most notably on Saturday afternoon is the fact that the Blue Demons have committed 10 turnovers while the Wildcats have just two.
Enjoy the second half!
