Class of 2015 shooting guards Kenny Williams of Boo Wiliams AAU team made another cut down of schools he is looking to go to on Thursday afternoon. The schools that made the cut were Georgetown Hoyas, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Providence, Indiana, Oklahoma State, and VCU. The announcement was made via his personal Twitter account.
According to a source, Georgetown was expected to make the cut, but North Carolina is currently the leader to net the Chesterfield, Virginia native. The source said " Georgetown should have offered earlier, then they would probably be the leader."
Williams said at NBPA Top 100 Camp that the Hoyas' style is similar to what his high school team, LC Bird, currently runs.
Williams is a prospect that the Georgetown coaching staff has tracked throughout the spring and summer, currently being recruited by assistant coach Kevin Sutton. His best attribute, as he noted when I spoke with him at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, is his ability to stretch the floor with his jump shot.
