Allonzo Trier commits to Arizona

Class of 2015 five-star prospect Allonzo Trier's commitment to Arizona did not shock many people after he transferred from Montrose Christian to Findlay Prep. Trier is a combo guard that has been described as a "scoring machine." Georgetown was one of the schools that were targeting him, but him moving to the west coast changed the complexion of the advance they had.  It does not affect them as much because they are targeting some other talented guards.

Arizona has the best class of 2015 so far with three five-star commitments.

This is also a good thing for St. John's Red Storm fans, and you will find out why below.

St. John's the favorite for Briscoe?

2015 NJ Playaz point guard Isaiah Briscoe may be going to St. John's. When Trier committed on Sunday, it took Arizona out of the running because of the similarities between the two players. They both are effective point guards that love to score the ball. This maneuver makes the Red Storm the clear cut favorites to land Briscoe, at least in my eyes.

Perry Dozier, Jr.'s official visits dates are all set

Jerry Meyer of 247sports reported all of 2015 recruit Perry Dozier, Jr.'s dates for his official visits. Dozier's first will be at Louisville on August 31, North Carolina on September 6, Georgetown on September 12, Michigan on September 26, and South Carolina on October 17. This is good for Georgetown because they are getting a vist before his hometown school. The staff has been looking forward to getting him on campus and now they will. It will be interesting to see because Georgetown is recruiting him as a point guard and some schools are not.

Jonathan Nwankwo has his final six

Class of 2015 power forward Jonathan Nwankwo has his final six schools set. The list includes Seton Hall, Temple, Rice, Fordham, Minnesota and Tennessee. Nwankwo is a 6-foot-9 center from The Bronx, New York and has been growing and developing into a good player.

Donovan Mitchell has a top five

A few days after announcing his Top 10, Class of 2015 four-star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell announced his Top 5 over the weekend.  The list includes Big East schools Providence and Villanova, as well as Florida State, Louisville, and Boston College. Georgetown, who made the Top 10, could not crack the Top 5. Mitchell takes an unofficial visit to Villanova on August 4 and an official visit to Louisville on August 7 and 8. This is interesting because Providence does not have an date set with him. This could be key because according to 247sports, Louisville has a significant lead over the others.

Kenny Williams receives offer from Tar Heels

Kenny Williams, a shooting guard from the Class of 2015, received an offer from North Carolina on Sunday. Williams, who plays high school basketball for LC Bird and AAU for Boo Williams, had a good spring and summer. He currently has an offer from Georgetown and really likes the style they run because it something similar to what they run in high school. But, a source told Big East Coast Bias that North Carolina is the favorite to land him at the moment.

Terance Mann cuts list

Class of 2015 guard Terance Mann announced that he has cut his list down, and the schools that made the cut are Marquette, Indiana, Arizona State, Rhode Island, and Boston College. Many thought Providence would have made the cut, but you can see that all the focus is on Donovan Mitchell.
