Ed Cooley's Providence Friars bolstered their 2014 roster with a commitment from Tyree Chambers, a guard from Germany, on Friday morning.
Chambers, a 6-foot-2 point guard, has played in his native country for the Cybex Bayreuth U19 team as well as medi bayreuth since 2012. He averaged just 1.1 point per game in 10 games in Beko BBL.
Chambers will be joining a backcourt that features the likes of Kris Dunn and could be a decent contributor for a team that lost its most valuable guard in Bryce Cotton, who logged almost 40 minutes per game in the 2013-14 season.
