Georgetown recruiting: Hoyas make 2015 prospect Dozier's cut

The Georgetown Hoyas have landed in the Top 5 for a highly touted four-star prospect.

PJ Dozier, a class of 2015 prospect out of Columbia, South Carolina has cut his list of schools that he will take official visits to before making a commitment. And the Georgetown Hoyas have supplanted themselves to be in the mix.

The Hoyas join LouisvilleNorth Carolina, South Carolina, and Michigan in netting visits from the four-star shooting guard from Spring Valley High School. Mid Major Hoops Report had the news first.

Georgetown was one of the schools that I expected to make the cut because they have not missed him at an event since the first live period, and the staff is in enamored with him.

Scouts have admired his versatility and there is thought that he could be a pro one day if his game projects as it is expected to. Dozier, who was at the NBPA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Virginia, said the one thing that he wanted to do was to create a relationship with the coaching staff. Evidently, that is exactly what has occurred.

The next step is to hear when Georgetown will get a visit, but I think the Hoyas would like all of their prospects who have them on their list to come to Midnight Madness and see the team. There has not been a date for when Dozier will make a decision, but this is certainly good news for John Thompson III and his staff.
