Creighton unveils 2014-15 nonconference schedule

Matchups against Oklahoma, Nebraska and Ole Miss highlight the nonconference slate for the Bluejays.

College basketball's 2014 season is steadfast approaching. And on Tuesday, things became clearer for the Creighton Bluejays, as they revealed their full nonconference schedule for the upcoming season.

This portion of the schedule, 14 games in total, is highlighted by three matchups in particular. Creighton will take on the Oklahoma Sooners of the Big 12 Conference on November 19, and then nine days later they square off with the Ole Miss Rebels in the Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Florida.

Should things play out, the Bluejays could take on the Cincinnati Bearcats a day later, should they win their matchup against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. The Bearcats are a squad led by head coach Mick Cronin, and a former member of the Big East Conference who one way or another prove to be a tough matchup year after year.

The game that the Cornhusker State will be keen on watching though will be on December 7 when the Bluejays go to Lincoln to take on Nebraska at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Huskers could improve off of a great season last year, and this game could provide an intriguing Big East-Big Ten matchup.
