2015 Haverford School guard cut his list down to 6 finalists

Cutting his list down from 20+ to 6 was somewhat simple for 2015 Haverford School (PA) guard Levan Alston. "I picked this group because I feel like these are the coaches who really care about me the most," Alston told CityOfBasketballLove.com's Josh Verlin.

Alston went on to explain that coaches from each of the six chosen schools were all over him during each live evaluation period. His final 6 schools are Temple, Virginia Commonwealth, Marquette, Notre Dame, Penn State and Penn.

It would seem to me that Temple and VCU are the favorites in the clubhouse right now but Marquette is still alive. Alson had this to say about Marquette: "Coach [Steve] Wojciechowski’s there now, he was at Duke for a while with Coach K, he coached the USA Olympic team, he has a lot of connections and he’s a great coach. Coaching the USA team with beijing and London, he’s one of the best upcoming coaches in college basketball."

Alston plans on taking a visit to each school on his list in the next 6 weeks or so before deciding and he plans on deciding in "mid-to-late-September."

Marquette currently has two open scholarship remaining in the class of 2015.
