Centereach, New York native and Class of 2015 power forward Cheick Diallo has scheduled a visit to St. John's on October 18 according to 247sports' Andrew Slater.
Diallo, a 6-foot-8 five-star recruit currently attends Our Savior New American School. Head coach Steve Lavin and the Red Storm have targeted him for a while, and this is good news for them that they will get a player with this level of talent on campus as soon as possible.
Diallo is being pursued by many power conference programs such as Kentucky, Kansas, Iowa State, Seton Hall, and Pittsburgh among others. While the St. John's Red Storm are not as high as the other teams that have sent offers his way, if they were to land a commitment, it would be a huge boost for a program that is looking to thrust itself into the upper echelon of the "new" Big East Conference.
