The Marquette Golden Eagles got another commit on Tuesday from a Wisconsin native in Matt Heldt. The 6-foot-10 center in the Class of 2015 decided to join Nick Noskowiak, who committed months ago has been doing some recruiting of his own.
Heldt confirmed the news via his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.
Ecstatic to be committed to Marquette! Thanks to everyone who has helped me on my journey so far. #blessed

For new head coach Steve Wojciechowski, this is good news because of what they have lost going into next year. The Golden Eagles will be without Jamil Wilson, Davante Gardner and Chris Otule in 2014 after this terrific trio graduated. In addition to this news, Marquette did bring in Indiana Hoosiers transfer Luke Fisher, who will be eligible to play after the fall semester.
The Marquette recruiting class is starting to take shape. They have a point guard and a center, but the question now is, will that take fellow 2015 recruit Henry Ellenson, who visited Marquette last week, out of the picture? Time will tell, but nevertheless, what we do know is that the Golden Eagles scooped up a very good player in Heldt on Tuesday afternoon.
