The Providence Friars have sent an offer to Class of 2016 shooting guard Bruce Brown, a five-star recruit from Vermont Academy. Alex Kline (@TheRecruitScoop) had the initial report, and ESPN College Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman also was in on the scoop.
A member of the Boston Amateur Basketball Club (MA) and a native of Wakefield, Massachusetts, Brown had an impressive showing on Friday afternoon against the Boo Williams (VA) club on the EYBL Circuit. At the Peach Jam event in North Augusta, South Carolina, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard scored 20 points to go with six rebounds, culminating with the game-winning basket in an impressive 26 minutes of play.
Brown also received an offer from the Iowa State Cyclones, according to ESPN's Adam Finkelstein.
